After a 20 year career flying jets in the Air Force Scott began working in the economic development arena, most notably as the director of the Technology Coast Manufacturing and Engineering Network, a consortium consisting of high-tech companies seeking to leverage their collective strength for business program development and joint-venture opportunities. He later co-founded a high-tech recruiting company specializing in key personnel sourcing for DoD contractors.
